Further, after the widely use of electricity and artificial lamps expanded in Thailand (around 50-60 years ago), the attention shifted toward the brightness level in both indoor and outdoor environment. Every corner was illuminated, and streets and dwellings were lit up, turning its back to the feel of light in space and atmosphere. However, in the past 15 years, the role of lighting to designers and the general public in the USA, Japan and Europe has become more widely understood and is more in tune with human perception and sensibilities. Lighting is not just for function, level and effif iciency, it is about the composition of light in space and perception. I believe that the value of lighting art can create opportunities and express culture or issues in one’s own way.
