Freyssinet’s Autoripage technique allows large structures to be built offline to be slid into place in a matter of hours during a blockade. On Easter Saturday 2014, Freyssinet successfully slid the 800 tonne Rochester Station box 36 metres across the line of the Chatham Mainline in Kent. The slide took approximately 10 hours and the final position was within 8mm of target.
