Hello! We are Primary 1A! We are 6 and 7 years old. This is our school, CEIP Plurilingüe O Mosteirón.


Hello, we are Primary 4A. Our school is in Sada. Sada is a Spanish municipality in the province of A CoruĂąa.


In Sada there are 15.387 people. In Sada there is a promenade next to the beach.


In Sada there is a restaurant called La Terraza. La Terraza is very important building.

We are 14 students and we are 7 or 8 years old. Our teacher's name is Ivรกn and our English teacher's name is Tania.


The first thing we will do is answer your questions. Here we go: - We have a uniform but it is not mandatory to wear it. And it is not mandatory to wear school shoes, we can wear other types. - Here people get married but there are people who decide to live together without getting married. -Some of us know how to do the backflip, others don't.


- Here babies drink milk or porridge. - In our class, most of us have got brown hair. Ither have got black or blond hair. - We have got blue, grreen, brown eyes. - We have learned Spanish naturally, just like you in English. - Here we celebrate many festivities. In addition some of them, such as the Entroido, SamaĂ­n (Halloween), the day of peace, etc. are mandatory.

Hello! We are primary 3A! We are 8 and 9 years old.


FILLOAS Filloas are like pancakes. They are made in a "filloeira". They are made using stock from cooking pork.

INGREDIENTS: 1L of meat stock 1L of milk ½ kg of flour Lard 8 eggs Salt


How to cook filloas:

1. Beat the eggs 2. Add the eggs to the flour 3. Add the milk and stock 4. Add salt 5. Mix together 6. Melt the lard in a pan 7. Add some of the mixture to the pan 8. Cook on each side


ENTROIDO EARS

Entroido ears are not ears of the human body! INGREDIENTS: 250 g wheat our . 2 small eggs . 50 ml of anise A pinch of salt 100 g butter . 120 g of sugar The zest of a lemon , an orange or two tangarines 200 ml of warm water. Extra virgin olive oil to fry the ears .


HOW TO MAKE ENTROIDO EARS

1. Put the water in a bowl with some salt. 2. Add the melted butter, grated orange peel, sugar, anise and eggs. 3. Beat together until there are no lumps. 4. Add the flour bit by bit with a whisk. 5. Take the dough out of the bowl and knead with your hands. 6. Leave to rest for an hour 7. Roll the dough into very thin strips 8. Fry in hot oil 9. Sprinkle icing sugar


ROSQUILLAS

INGREDIENTS: 400 g flour A pinch of salt 2 large eggs 80 g melted butter 90 ml milk Grated orange peel Grated lemon peel anise Oil to fry


HOW TO MAKE ROSQUILLAS

1. Crack the eggs open in a bowl. 2. Add the grated lemon and orange peel. 3. Add the milk, butter and anise. 4. Beat them together 5. Add the flour bit by bit with a wooden spoon. 6. Put the dough on a floury surface 7. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes. 8. Leave to rest for 10 minutes. 9. With small pieces of dough, roll a sausage shape and then make into a hoop. 10. Fry in hot oil. 11. Add icing sugar on top


Hi, we are 6th grade A and we are going to tell you how we celebrate Carnival in Galicia and the most important places where the Carnival takes place.


ENTROIDO The word Entroido means Carnival in Galicia. The Carnival is represented by a doll made of straw and workwear and the rag face. There are six celebrations: Falareiro or borrallento Sunday Compadres' Tuesday Corredoiro Sunday Carnival´s Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Sardines´ burial or Ashes Wednesday Piñata´s Sunday


Comparsas The comparsa is a type of carnival group that goes out to the street to play their music and dance. They are typical in Galician Entroido.


ENTROIDO IN LAZA (OURENSE) The main characters here are the “Peliqueiros”, with their impressive costumes. They leave to the central square of the town running in a group, and if you get in their way, they hit you with the "zamarra" which is a kind of whip .


CARNIVAL IN XINZO DE LIMIA (OURENSE) Fun and music are the ingredients that together with the great protagonists of the carnival “As Pantallas� make this celebration a very special event. "As Pantallas" are characters in white suits, colored masks, red capes with colored ribbons and a belt with a belt to which bells are attached. Their masks with very peculiar and are beating dry and swollen pig bladders that when joined in the blow make a noise like a serious drum. They persecute everyone who does not go in disguise.


CARNiVAL IN COBRES-VILABOA (OURENSE) It is considered one of the two most elegant carnivals in Galicia. Madamas and Galanes are dressed in very colorful costumes, necklaces, feathers ... all very colorful. The main day is Carnival Tuesday, and they go around the town dancing from house to house, where they give them donations. In the afternoon, popular games like "A Corrida do Galo" or "Galo na vara" are held.


THE CARNIVAL OF VERIN The Carnival of Verín, takes place in the town of Verín, in the province of Ourense, almost a month, with a total of 3 Sundays The great protagonists of the carnival of Verín are "Os Cigarróns", they are characters with white stockings, shorts cut with white and colored trims, white shirt and colored tie plus short jacket, belt from which collides or cowbells hang. The main element of the Cigarróns is the mask and the miter that hangs from the mask, They are dedicated to chasing, whip in hand, to the residents of the town carnival felos from Maceda.


CARNIVAL OF THE XERAIS DO ULLA The Xerais do Ulla is the most outstanding show of the traditional Carnival of the Ulla region The most relevant characters of this celebration are the generals and the post office on horseback, which are disguised with vintage military clothing and other ornaments also on horses.


CARNIVAL IN VIANA DO BOLO The Entroido of Viana do Bolo, is one of the most original in Galicia. On Wednesday, women chase the men to steal a garment and put it on the "Lardeiro", an iron doll stuffed with straw and firecrackers that hangs on a pole in the Plaza Mayor. On the next day, men chase women to fill them with flour. They then celebrate it with a large dinner, and afterwards there is a party until dawn.
