Catherine Varadi

Born in Moscow, former USSR, Catherine has been living in Budapest, Hungary since 1991 She spent close 30 years in family business

Ciera Eadler

Painting, Sculpture, Mixed Media

My design path started with the dream of being a graphic designer for Fox Riders Company in California With those aspirations in mind, I enrolled at the Herron School of Art + Design at IUPUI, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design During my time there, I was hired for two design related internships, one at the IUPUI Auxiliary Services and the second at the Kelley School of Business The Auxiliary Services gave me numerous opportunities to collaborate with many clients such as the IU Natatorium, the Olympic Diving Trials, The Den by Dennys, and plenty more Right after graduating, I landed a job designing shing jerseys with OT Wear Shortly after, OT expanded with the sunscreen brands, Reeler’s Shield and Players Shield I worked for them for 3 years, and then was recruited by Renen Pete Fox’s new Moto brand A dream come true Now, I am following my true passion, creating art o of the screen. The pandemic helped jumpstart this new path after I was furloughed and had plenty of time to create anything I had an idea for I enjoy being immersed in my creative process, and I’m excited to see what I create next.

Gayle Faulkner

Painting

From the time I was a small child, I wanted to be an artist During my childhood, art was not considered to be an important pursuit In the Kansas City, Missouri school district, we had a traveling art teacher for about½ hour per month I was also a very academic child and knew that I needed a scholarship to go to college I got my scholarship to a very good academic collage and graduated with a degree in Sociology I spent years working with children in a variety of capacities One day, out of the blue, I decided to be an artist As usual, I jumped in with both feet I took some painting classes with the focus on the elements and principals of design I spent hours in my cold dark basement practicing until I was able to create some good watercolors

My watercolors are painted in a nontraditional manner and I was gratied that they actually worked I started doing shows around the United States and have won numerous awards, participated in juried exhibitions and have work in private and corporate collections around the world

When Covid drastically changed our lives, I decided to pursue a new direction and started using “Textural Acrylics” These are created with a palette knife on canvas Incorporating modeling paste and acrylic gels as well as wood and collage have led me to a new awakening. Painting primarily in an impasto style, I become immersed in the process as I have a “conversation” with the painting so that a joyful merging of color, texture and creativity emerge. Every painting invites the viewer to come into the world on the canvas and make it their own I love my new direction and can only imagine how my paintings will grow in the future

Norman Gabitzsch

Photography

I was educated to be a scientist with a Ph D in Physics, but after nishing Post Doctoral work at Los Alamos, New Mexico, I took a position in the research department of a Multi National Oil company where I did fundamental research to image the interior of the earth It was here that I learned the fundamentals of signal processing that I now use for photography I spent a career with this company performing both research and operational oil exploration It was a great opportunity to travel and see the world

I am a self taught “artist” I like to study the work of the Masters both in the Paints and Photography Painters have the luxury of creating perfect composition and palette with their mind’s eye (there is much to learn from their work), but the photographer has only a short time to nd the right composition before the scene changes The photographer has to develop great instinct and fast non hesitant reactions to do their work outside the studio. This is especially true of Street Photographers. The best way to learn these skills, in my opinion, is go out and take a lot of photographs

In 2017 over 1 2 trillion photographs were made of the existing world When one stops to think about it, there are very few things that have not been photographed before. For me I nd motivation for photography by looking for the shot that others have overlooked It may be a new Point of View or a dierent way of seeing light, or even using light that is not visible to the human eye. I have developed a strong style using the invisible light of infrared photography For the viewer of the photograph I hope they nd something that they have failed to notice before.

As a multidisciplinary artist, my ongoing research work led me to adopt a head on approach to several disciplines linked to the visual arts From 1970 to 2005, my artistic cursus mainly translates itself into sculpture and installation I presented solo exhibitions in several contemporary art galleries in Québec

Starting in 1980, I engaged into a saxophonist career where shows became a lieu where music, theatre and artistic performance meet In the 1990s, performance became a recurrent feature to my approach I was invited to dierent international action art festivals And I was the organizer of a performance event in Québec from 2001 to 2005

Author of a column in the arts magazine ESSE for 10 years since 1985, I have also published four novels

In the early 2000s, the discovery of osteology strongly fueled my aesthetical preoccupations It is through painting however, which I have been practicing full time since 2015, that this new source of inspiration materializes itself

My name is Jenette, but everyone calls me Netty or Nettysketti I am an artist from Campbell California, and I've been creating artwork from inside my late grandfather's trailer Obtaining a masters degree is my biggest achievement My work deals with portraiture relating to personal and emotional experiences of my friends and I Typically I work in watercolors, but I dabble in graphite, charcoal, pastels and inks, trying to use non traditional supports and other materials I've always struggled to express myself verbally and art communicates everything I've bottled up emotionally Art lets me be honest without uttering a single word Over the years I've been inuenced by many dierent artworks, but the ones that impact me the most are from musicians and contemporary women artists I adore the mannerism in which some present serious and impactful subjects and issues, but can also be playful, showing how much they enjoy the creative experience

Paul Hultman

Illustration, Painting

My experience as a professional illustrator dates back to 1975 when I was in the USAF

Stationed at Edwards Air Force Base I had High Security Clearance to access the B1 Bomber ight line and the developing Space Shuttle Project I was asked by my Squadron Commander to create artwork for the base newspaper with regard to both projects and the personnel involved This prompted the Director of the Base NCO Club and a local Music Promoter to hire me to make illustrations for upcoming shows and entertainment events

After an Honorable Discharge I attended college on the GI Bill I majored in art illustration and life studies for several years while at the same time learned airbrush techniques This became a business customizing artistic creations on automobiles such as trucks, vans, cars, motorcycles This evolved into painting large scale murals for several businesses from the west coast in California to the east coast in New England.

During the past 40 years, as a freelance illustrator, I've illustrated book covers, greeting cards, children's books, bedding and apparel as well as many diversied private commissions My passion with decades of progressive experience and commitment to always excel has rened my creativity and illustrations to a very high quality standard At present, with the advances in technology and the development of new techniques, I have integrated what I've done on canvas and illustration board with digital illustrations which I have embraced! I utilize the vivid colors, exibility and control with details, and the special eect tools to render an end result of high quality digital illustrations.

I have always considered my ability God given and my passion is always to do my best to create the highest quality images from imagination and life My most profound pleasure is to witness the happy smile and satisfaction of anyone observing my completed artwork. That positive energy is incredibly exhilarating and inspiring !

Over the past 11 years I have evolved from illustration board and canvas and have embraced the new age technical world of digital media Therefore I have created the name, "New Age Illustrations "

Robyn Drake Drawing

I grew up in a volatile, isolated household on a ranch in Iowa where we raised cattle and horses My refuges were horses, dogs, painting, and drawing I have had a business as an equine physiotherapist and custom English saddler for 22 years I am inspired by the virtues of the horse: kindness, raw emotion, gentleness, strength, nobility We aspire to many of the qualities that are innate in horses

I've been involved in art most of my life as a form of non narrative expression Painting and drawing are a natural extension of my physical and emotional self like another appendage or perhaps another sense There have been fallow times where I didn't make art, but it always nagged at me from deep within; a restlessness that demanded attention and action It feels like an outpouring of something essential that has no other voice

I paint because it's the only way I've learned to translate and face my demons Since I was raped I have been ghting a war in my head, one I often feel I'm losing This work is both a cry for help and a cry of relief How do you nd peace when you don't know what it really means? This embodies a ght I fear I've come to identify with more than myself

David Noss Photography

I have loved photography since I got my rst camera, a simple Kodak World’s Fair model, at age 9 As the son of a photographer father, I learned photography mostly through watching and listening It has only been in the past few years, since my retirement from a career in legal publishing, that I have pursued photography as an art Time has given me the freedom to pursue photographic opportunities while also learning in depth the techniques of digital photo processing

Recovery

As a person in Recovery for the past 20 years (I can hardly believe it myself) I can sincerely say that everything I am today emerges from my recovery program All I have in my life is because I have worked hard to become the person my Higher Power created me to be

Spirituality

I grew up in a household where we were encouraged to question and explore and my recovery program has expanded that In 12 step programs, we speak of ‘A God of My Understanding’, and for many years, I thought that meant I needed to understand god, but the more I grow, the more I understand, the less concrete my understanding is

Wife & Mother

I’ve been married for 25 years now, and my husband and I have two 20 something children. These two kids are my heart and soul There’s nothing more beautiful than loving the people your children have become

Dog Mom Django and Salty. Big Dogs. Big Love. If you don’t like dogs in the house, don’t come to my home. They live here, you are only a guest

Artist

My art allows me to express my spirituality. Please know, that most of my designs speak of my spiritual understanding My understanding is hard won I may not be able to explain it to you, so hopefully you just nd it beautiful and don’t require an explanation.

Michele Tragakiss

Michele Tragakiss is an award winning abstract artist working in oil, and acrylic Her layered, entangled works originate from uninhibited subconscious exploration, and reveal the inner dialogue between her lived experience, her insatiable curiosity, and her need to communicate through art

Internationally renowned artist and photographer, Florin Firimita on Tragakiss’s works “In a visual world lled with elevator music, Michele Traggakiss’s paintings make sensual, fresh, and mysterious sounds Intelligent non representational art is hard to come by these days, but Michele’s paintings, born at the intersection of skills, emotions and ideas, invite both the intellect and the senses They are marvelous labyrinths recalling the poetic structure of Bach and the swift energy of Miles Davis. Open your eyes and start listening”.
