The series uses Black women as a focus point to connect with nature. Each piece is named after the plant portrayed as surrealism, connecting with the woman. Viewers are left to interoperate the pieces as they wish. The audience is left to understand what emotions and expressions each piece suggests.

The Golden Smile Printmaking, Black & White on Acrylic Print W:23.50 H:34 cm 2023 Nathaniel Boateng Opoku

In my artistic exploration of the profound emotions that connect us as human beings, I present to you "The Golden Smile." This title screen print artwork encapsulates the essence of love and its transformative power in our lives. It portrays a captivating female portrait, exuding a radiant smile that emanates pure joy and warmth. With gold color flowing from her hair to her chest, I aim to convey the ethereal and transcendent nature of love while evoking a sense of awe and wonder. Love is an eternal force that transcends cultural boundaries and speaks to the core of our existence. It is a universal language that unites us all, irrespective of our backgrounds, beliefs, or experiences. In "The Golden Smile," I seek to celebrate the beauty and tenderness that love brings into our lives. The choice of a female portrait for this artwork is deliberate. Women throughout history have been associated with nurturing and compassion, qualities that epitomize the essence of love...

Nuclear Painting, Acrylic on Canvas W:16 H:14 in 2023 Robin Marshall

Oddly, everyone sees this as something different! My vision was a nuclear bomb. Starting out as black in the center and fading into lighter colors as the world needs to adjust. I’m hoping our world will straighten out and people will become One, Finally!

Anglefish Fiber Art, Weaving on Wood W:35 H:35 in 2023 Tina Puckett

Watching the slow swirling magnificence of the feathery fins and the shining scales of an angelfish has always mesmerized me. Just like the graceful beauty of an angelfish; imagine this piece magically swimming on the wall of your home – it’s wings flowing in the sunlight a “heavenly” sight”! I made Angelfish of woven panels with twisting and curving Harry Lauder's Walking Stick to simulate the rays of sunlight and the fins of angelfish. It is woven it with hand dyed yellow and orange reeds.

Andromeda Embroidery, Embroidery on Board - Wood W:9 H:12 cm 2022 Hannah Jaumot

The universe is massive and incredible, and yet we let our everyday troubles take up our world. The Cosmos is a series of handheld galaxies, a shrine to our smallness, that allows us to step back and revel in the wonder of the world around us. This piece encourages the viewer to take a moment to view each small detail and meditate on their place as a small detail in the expansive galaxy. We are each stitch and colorful swirl that make up the cosmos.

Anemone Lightning Painting, Acrylic on Canvas W:40 H:40 cm 2022 Daniel LeClaire

A series of paintings that draws inspiration from his travels in Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. The raw beauty of the islands, ocean and sky caused him to reflect on beauty, nature, love and happiness. His paintings attempt to convey those feelings through color and form drawing the viewer first into the visual experience and through this into the deeper realm of the emotional experience.
