Get to Know The Preserve! Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is the premier destination in the Delaware Valley to explore native plants in their natural habitat. We are known regionally for our educational programming, and nationally as a vital reserve for native plants. Our mission is to inspire the appreciation and use of native plants by serving as a sanctuary and an educational resource for conservation and stewardship.

Our unique plant collection represents nearly 800 native species, over 40 of which are endangered. The only accredited museum in the nation focused exclusively on native flora. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that depends on admission, donor, member and volunteer support.

VISIT TODAY The Preserve is open year-round. April-June Open daily 9 am – 5 pm July-March Open Tuesday – Sunday 9 am – 5 pm Open on the following holidays: Memorial Day and Labor Day Closed on Thanksgiving Day and for the winter holidays December 24 – January 1. Admission is free for members. A fee for non-members helps us maintain our Preserve so that we may continue to achieve our mission.

Penn’s Woods to New Pond One of our most gentle trails, past the Moss Garden and magnolias. Good for strollers and most wheel chairs.

New Pond Loop

View the wonderful native plants and animals that live in this special place. Handicap parking nearby. Some rough paving.

New Pond to Stone Bridge

(via President’s Dr.) Walk down this shady road to the 1934 WPA Stone Bridge to view Pidcock Creek.

Stone Bridge to Azaleas at the Bridge Stroll along Pidcock Creek and take a break on a peaceful bench.

Gentian to Founders’ Pond

Visit our secluded pond and experience this natural spring-fed habitat. MODERATE

Cabin Path to Stone Bridge Walk down to the historic American chestnut log cabin. Take care on the stairs down to the Stone Bridge.
