Fleiner Automotive Co. Brings Customer-Centered Service Clients Have Come To Expect From A Trusted Repair Family leiner Automotive Co., the new one-stop auto body and sales shop, offers the same service customers have grown accustomed to that comes with the Fleiner name. “When you bring your car to us, we'll treat it like family,” says Adam Fleiner. The Fleiner family has been fixing cars for more than 50 years, star ting when Paul “Paulee” Fleiner immigrated to the United States from Europe. An avid car-repair technician, Paulee worked for several different repair shops until he realized that to maintain his high-quality standards, he needed to be his own boss. When he opened Paulee Body Shop in 1956, he always considered it a family affair, employing his father, children and grandchildren. In 1980, Paulee started to explore the idea of importing state-of-the-art equipment from Europe. He was the first body-shop owner in the U.S. to import equipment and become a partner with Italy’s Universal Bench. This new automobile straightening and repair equipment made fixing cars a more standardized operation. His son Kenny, a 1971 Hamilton High grad, took the reins from Paulee in the ’80s continuing with the excellence that everyone had grown to expect from Paulee. He expanded the shop signing exclusive deals with Beverly Hills Mercedes, Ferrari of Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills BMW, Beverly Hills Honda, and Acura of Beverly Hills, in addition to

becoming an Independent Repair Facility for AAA Insurance. Paulee’s grandson Adam grew up hanging around the shop since he was 5. He started out in the detail department washing cars and slowly moved into the office writing estimates and helping customers. He graduated from Beverly High in 1995 and pursued a career in the culinary world working as a chef at both Spago and On Cañon. But he was always eager to learn the family trade and work with his father. In 2005, Kenny sold Paulee Body Shop and Adam continued with KNM Auto Sales, Inc. specializing in high-end and exotic consignment vehicles. “The business was named for Ken, Noel and Michael,” says Adam, “named for my father and his best friends who he bought cars with.” Adam and Kenny decided it was time for a new shop after receiving calls and emails from Paulee’s longtime clientele, unhappy that they no longer had a place to call home. “They were complaining they didn’t have a place that treated them like they were used to being treated. And that if we went back in business to let them know; they’d come back.” So their new shop has a new name, new location, new additional services, and all with the same customer-centered care. Fleiner Automotive Co is at 8932 National Blvd. For more information, call 424-288--4111 Adam and Kenny Fleiner at their new one-stop auto body and or visit www.fleinerautomotiveco.com. sales shop.
