C-100 CONFERENCE—The Committee of 100, a Chinese-American leadership organization, hosted its 21st annual conference at the Langham Pasadena. (These photos are from the gala dinner.) The committee released an extensive opinion survey detailing the thoughts and perceptions that both Americans and Chinese have of each other, with numerous facts and figures from business and opinion leaders and the general public. “Is America on the right track? Is it on the wrong track? How about China?” An analysis can be found at committee100.org. The celebration and educational exploration was truly an indication of the extent American and Chinese leaders are willing to go to help promote a healthy global future. Among those in attendance were East West Bancorp CEO Dominic Ng, Robert Bennett, Charles Munger, Max Nikias, Gene Block, Mike Antonovich, Michelle Kwan and others.

Marathon To Return To Beverly Hills By Marla Schevker The Honda/LA Marathon will be coming back to Beverly Hills on March 17, 2013. The City Council approved the marathon’s return for one year with a review before making an additional commitment.

Council Approves Most Of UTA Agreement By Marla Schevker The City Council approved an agreement with Beverly Hills talent agency United Talent Agency (UTA) 3-2 with Councilmember Lili Bosse and Vice Mayor John Mirisch voting
