MATH COUNTS—The Horace Mann MathCounts team came in third at the MathCounts Chapter Competition at Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach and will be going to the state finals in Irvine on March 15. During the competition, the 10 Huskies participated in an all-day competition involving three different types of situations: first, students had 40-minutes to answer 30 questions without the use of a calculator; second, they were given two problems at a time and only 6-minutes to finish each pair; and finally, there was a team competition where a group of 4 students worked together on 10 problems. Residents Compete To Create The Beverly Hills Centennial Commemorative Postage Stamp By Laura Coleman In honor of its Centennial Celebration, the City is giving Beverly Hills residents the chance to submit original artwork to be reproduced on a commemorative postage

City Council News And Notes By Victoria Talbot The City Council approved a funding request to support the installation of Baccarat crystal chandeliers on Rodeo Drive for the 2014 holiday décor program Tuesday. The $180,000 in City funding for the installation of 16
