Porzioni Di Pasta

Porzioni Di Pasta, meaning ‘Portions of Pasta’ in Italian, looks at a carton board packaging solution for pasta where it is currently packaged in non-recyclable single-use plastic. Not only is the focus on material, but the idea also explores portion control. Using a tear-away strip, customers can pour out dried pasta into the lid, which acts as a measuring cup for one suggested serving of approximately 75 grams. This allows for portion control of one serving, but can also be used to measure for groups of people. Additionally, the measuring lid is suitable for various pasta shapes and sizes.

Each pack is carefully designed per pasta shape graphically using inspiration from the Memphis art movement along with futuristic colour palettes. Every pack

is bold and colourful standing out from the usual pasta packaging. The form of the packs takes on a hexagonal prism allowing for stacking abilities during transportation, but also on supermarket shelves whether that is vertically or horizontally. The pack is dynamic also allowing users to pour easily from various points and once finished, the lid can be placed back on for it’s next use.
