Being resilient means having the ability to recover and bounce back from difficult situations or challenges It's a valuable trait that can help individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals Bounceback is an understatement for this month's Sister
Queen "Pie" Hatfield, a mother, sister, daughter, friend to many, mentor to more, and sister to all was awarded an award for resilience at the 2023 Real Power Summit. During her acceptance speech, Pie stated that she was grateful for her award and, in short but sweet "Pie" fashion, reminded the group that she would continue to persevere despite obstacles.
Over the last few months, we have watched Pie continue to stand on the faith she often speaks about to her Sisters. Pie goes the extra mile for others in the community, giving when she does not have it to give (time, energy, or money) while being straightforward, uplifting, and encouraging. She deserves an honorable mention for her resilience and so much more!

This month's wellness challenge will be a 21-day walking challenge spearheaded by GirlTrek. This month's Black History Bootcamp challenge will be held June 1-21, 2023
GirlTrek was started by two friends, T. Morgan Dixon and Vanessa Garrison, in 2010. On November 18, 2020, GirlTrek inspired Shameka Cornelius, its one-millionth member, to walk for better health Today GirlTrek has 1,371,776 members, representing 7% of the total population of African American women
Black History Bootcamp is a viral sensation and a first-of-its-kind walking podcast centered on Black stories and lessons from our ancestors Through 21-day walking meditations, co-founders Morgan and Vanessa reflect on stories of Black resilience and resistance to help Black women navigate these uncertain times. These conversations offer a space to think through practical solutions to manage stress, reconnect, reclaim joy, and say “NO” to the weight of the world by walking and talking for 30 minutes a day
