Spring has arrived. Keep a child’s heart blooming! Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to present our annual Plant Sale. Since 1990, the Plant Sale has been an important event to raise the dollars necessary to support one-to-one mentoring programs in our community. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor-supported volunteer organization, providing one-to-one mentoring services to vulnerable children throughout a 14-county area in the Mississippi
Valley. Today, our organization impacts over 700 children and since our founding, 30 years ago, we have helped over 11,000 children. We recruit volunteers and match them with children in two basic “mentoring environments” - Community-Based and School-Based Plus. Dollars raised through this event underwrite enrollment, matching and Match Coaches who serve our Bigs, Littles, parents and teachers all year long.

Pre-order your flowers so that you can be sure of the color, quantity and variety of flower that you want or need. Orders of any size accepted. If your order is $150 or over, we can deliver to you!
Recommend us to your employer! Individuals may complete an order form and turn it in to one organizer at their school, business, church, neighborhood, organization, or club. If the combined order is $150 or more, we will deliver all of the individual orders to one designated location. Just indicate “group order” on the form with the delivery location and mail all orders together as a group.

VOLUNTEER TO SUPPORT A CHILD WHO IS FACING ADVERSITY. IT TAKES AS LITTLE AS 2 HOURS A MONTH! There are more than 200 children waiting to be matched in our one-to-one mentoring program (70% of them are boys). Children who are facing some kind of adversity— coping with poverty, divorce, death of a loved one or family member, incarceration of a parent or guardian, or they just aren’t adjusting socially or academically in school. They are all children who just need the positive influence of an adult friend.

You don’t have to be a child psychologist to be a good mentor. You just have to be a person who can offer a child friendship—another adult that will listen to them and help them sort things out, build their confidence and show them the opportunities that becoming a confident adult can bring them.
