Congratulations Kaley Musi!
September Sproul Lanes Student of the Month

The September Sproul Lanes Student of the Month is Kaley Musi, a Senior at Marple Newtown High School. Kaley received a Certificate of Achievement, and a “Pizza Bowl” gift certificate courtesy of Sproul Lanes, our Sponsor of this program.
Kaley is an amazing young lady whose fervent desire to help others sets her apart. She is Vice-President of her school’s Best Buddies Program, a club whose members are each paired with a student in the school’s Life Skills program. Together, they all regularly participate in social and community outreach activities and events such as volunteering to help pack meals at the Kids Against Hunger Philly chapter in Broomall.
Another group that Kaley holds near and dear to her heart is Spark the Wave, a nonprofit organization where she started volunteering as a 6th-grader and now serves as a Staff Leader at week-long camps that use service projects to teach leadership skills. Kaley’s involvement with Spark the Wave has given her many opportunities to help feed those in need as it joins forces with other nonprofits’ programs such as Philabundance, Manna and Cradles to Crayons.
As Secretary of MNHS Student Council, Kaley has helped develop the school’s Leader Renaissance Program and written letters to brighten the day of residents at local nursing homes. She’s also a Tiger Guide (gives tours for prospective MNHS students), and participates in the Mock Trial and Yearbook Clubs. And Kaley is a member of her school’s Field Hockey, Track & Field and Diving teams.
When her academic achievements earned her induction into her school’s English National Honor Society, she volunteered to serve as its Vice-President, to better prepare herself for majoring in English in college. Kaley plans on going to law school, to prepare for a career as an attorney and follow in the footsteps of both of her parents.

Any student in grades 7–12 who resides within the borders of the Marple Newtown School District can be nominated by a parent, teacher or other adult who’s familiar with the student. Send an email to SOTM@SproulLanes.com explaining several reasons why the student excels in Service to friendship, school or other local communities. Academic or athletic excellence may be considered but is not required. The Winner will be featured in next month's magazine and will also receive a Sproul Lanes Pizza Bowl Gift Certificate good for 2 hours of bowling for up to 10 people plus pizza, sodas, snacks and free shoe rental.
