Gala of Courage Event Saturday Nov 2, to Celebrate, Honor and Support Veterans
Charity Spotlight by Bob Blaisse
Operation First Response will host its first-ever Gala of Courage Saturday, November 2, at the Drexelbrook Special Events Center, 4700 Drexelbrook Dr, Drexel Hill. The theme for this 6-11pm event is “Honoring Heroes from Combat & The Homefront.”
The Keynote Speaker will be retired Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill. Senior Chief Petty Officer O’Neill served in over 400 combat missions through four theaters of war. He is most well known for having served justice to Osama bin Laden while on a mission with SEAL Team Six.

This Gala will benefit 501(c)(3) nonprofits Operation First Response and the Michael Strange Foundation, both of which help wounded military veterans and their families in need.

Master of Ceremonies WPHT 1210AM Talk Radio Host Rich Zeoli will also introduce several other speakers: Thomas “Drago” Dzieran, former political refugee from Poland and retired Navy SEAL; U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Tony “Ronny” Porta, who was severely injured in action in Iraq; Peggy Baker, mother of a combat veteran and founder of Operation First Response; and Charles Strange, Gold Star parent and founder of the Michael Strange Foundation.
Celebrate and Honor Veterans, and Show Your Support for these two great organizations and the Veterans they serve!
