Schedule services early, if at all possible, even a simple oil change could result in longer than usual wait times due to low inventory levels. The state of Pennsylvania gives motorists the opportunity to have a vehicle safety inspection performed up to three months prior to the sticker expiration date. Use this time to have your vehicle evaluated and parts ordered. There is no grace period after the sticker expiration. Even the most common parts could take hours or even days to receive. Keeping your vehicle’s maintenance up to date is a great way to help predict upcoming repairs. With fuel prices soaring, here are a few tips to get the most miles per gallon: - Check tire pressure regularly. - Make sure you have a clean air filter. - If your vehicle has performance settings, be sure to use the economy setting. - Avoid extended idle times, use an ice scraper instead of the defrosters. - Use the auto start/stop function if equipped.
