GET CREATIVE Glyn Mould, School of Woodcarving Glyn began carving when he was 12 and never dreamed that he would see his creations on The Antiques Roadshow or more recently, receive a commission for the Lord Mayor of London. Glyn has 34 years of teaching experience and imparts his expertise through regular classes at Elton Village Hall and hosts a monthly two-day workshop at Sacrewell Farm Centre. Glyn has produced over 150 signs for towns and villages, including one for ‘Ambridge’ as part of The Archers 50th anniversary celebrations. Sam runs workshops from her Laxton studio in rural Northamptonshire. One-day courses cost £50. Equipment and materials are provided and participants leave with detailed instructions, suppliers and stockists. The Introduction to Linocut course guides you through the technique and tools, and attendees will produce several prints from two or three images. The Reduction Linocut course is suitable for those with previous experience wishing to create prints using layers of colour.
