The Kings Head is a small family-run free house that is all about great service and quality food and drink. With only nine tables inside, it is a really cosy place that welcomes all. The walled courtyard garden is a sun trap and often gets busy in the warmer months. There are up to five rotated ale hand pulls from the local area and further afield. The food menu is sourced from local vendors such as the fruit-and-veg stall on the High Street, Colin the fish van man and Nelsons butchers. The kitchen is open 12–3pm and 6–9pm Tuesday to Saturday and 12–4pmish on Sunday. It’s advisable to book to avoid disappointment! Special offers for food and drink include: Thursday burger night with choice of three toppings and a drink; Friday chippy tea – whale on a plate and a drink; and Sunday roast with all the trimmings and homemade gravy.
