the design of a new messenger bag for Shinola originated with the established design language for the collection. from there, this project was approched with a new perspective to make a unique, functional bag for today’s casual work environment.
hobo
the hobo bag has become a staple in a woman’s wardrobe. this minimally designed hobo works well as a daily bag and becomes more beautiful the more it is used.
european wallet with Shinola’s growing customer base in the US and Europe, there was a demand for a small wallet with capacity for multiple credit cards, cash, and coins. focusing on these key guidelines, this wallet was designed to be the same size as a traditional bi-fold wallet so that it fits easily in a pocket or purse.

oxygen deprived blood of yoked animals is diverted from its natural course and into o+, the ox-blood-bag. crafted from beautiful bordeaux latigo leather, this bag is the perfect size for a carry on, weekender, or run to the gym. sturdy and featuring a riri zip scar across the top, the unlined, reverse leather bag will hold your valuables next to the gorgeous grain side of the hide. once righted, o+ will catch eyes and capture hearts, vital fluids included of course.
disheveled gentleman
bedraggled and unkempt, the muddled man still requires dress shoes so as not to sink to the level of a common guttersnipe. making do with one eyelet, exposed heel nails and shank, and house paint to dress up the sole, this threadbare man sets off in search of his silver lining. constructed and distressed by hand with a seamless bellows tongue, this shoe will help even this frowzy fellow find a friendlier future. if only we were all as blessed as this disheveled gentleman...
