The recent BLO meeting was all about fashion for the beautiful women who are members of the Bentwater Ladies Organization, some of whom were professional models at some time in their lives, and many others who have enhanced the runways of fashion shows for charities. They were all eager to see the latest fashions that can be purchased in one of Montgomery County’s newest shops, Hello Beautiful Boutique, owned by Judy Burks, former owner of Silk N’ Twigs Gifts. This showcase shop is located in the HEB center at the corner of SH 105 and Loop 336 West in Conroe. Offering fabulous jewelry from Brighton and Pandora as well as footwear, including Old Gringo Boots and Yellow Box shoes, the mainstay of their inventory is the latest in fashion from designers such as Joseph Ribkoff, Kenneth & Judy and Roben Lara. BLO - This Month “April showers bring May flowers” (to Bentwater) just as the song goes; however Bentwater Ladies Organization brings a ray of sunshine when the club meets April 14. Houston comedian Chuck Montgomery will brighten the day and tickle your funny bone or maybe even provide a belly laugh when he performs for the group’s entertainment at the Yacht Club. Although he is a 32-year veteran of comedy in the Houston area, his material is fresh and clever. He has worked with several big name television stars such as Pat Paulson, Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres. Even Drew Carey opened for Mr. Montgomery before Carey was a well known artist. This is one program you won’t want to miss. Remember, It is not too early or late to sign up for the various BLO events, therefore, if you are new to the area and have an interest to participate in the organization’s activities, ask a member; they will be glad to assist. If you liked the recent style show and western programs, please let the program chairpersons, Dianne Wingenbach and Cathy Ramsey, know how much we appreciate all of their hard work!
