Simon’s Top Fruit Tree Tips!
Get the most out of your fruit tree with these top tips from our resident plant expert Simon Bax... Reduce current year’s growth in July to three or four leaves to encourage next year’s flowers Mulch heavily in the spring around the roots to preserve moisture, improve soil structure and feed the tree Feed your tree in February/March with a balanced feed. This will give your fruit tree all the nutrition it needs for the coming year Underplant your fruit trees with early spring bulbs such as crocus, muscari and bluebells to encourage pollinators and give your mini orchard a visual lift.

October is a great time to be in the garden A little work now can be rewarded with beautiful results when spring comes round again. We’ve got a fantastic variety of spring flowering bulbs to choose from so plan and plant now for a glorious springtime display.
It’s time to plant
Winter Pansies
You can plant winter pansies throughout the early autumn and even into the winter, although when they flower will depend on exactly when you plant them, as well as on the weather conditions they get while growing. In any case, they add a splash of colour to the garden during the often drab winter months, as well as filling in flowerbeds to provide a backdrop for any Christmas garden ornaments or outdoor Christmas lights you decide to put up!

Winter Food Market Live Music Winter Food Market is returning for another year, and so is our live music. Enjoy our festive treats and special atmosphere while being entertained on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings over the Christmas season. What better way to soak up the festive feel! Christmas Demonstration Evenings Join us on Wednesday evenings throughout November as we get you into the festive spirit with a selection of seasonal demonstrations. Enjoy festive punch and a mince pie for a donation to our Charity of the Year, Solving Kids’ Cancer and watch our experts bow making, flower arranging and much more.
