Our job as students was to come up with proposals for a community space, working through concepts to a viable solution for the Carlton Housing Estate. This required us to involve ourselves in the community life of the estate and build relationships with stakeholders such as residents, council representatives and community workers. From these consultations we were able to conclude what requirements the Live House would need to meet and which principles would need to be prioritized. UPPER POOL STUDIO LEARNING OBJECTIVES STATEMENT This studio has broadened my knowledge of portable architecture and retroÂżW GHVLJQ ERWK DUHDV ZKLFK KDYH LQWHUHVWHG PH IRU VRPH WLPH , KDYH EHHQ motivated to research manufacturing techniques associated with the live house element with which I have been involved. I have also developed my design process and communication skills, particularly through storyboard techniques and research relationship mapping. I have developed my conceptual ad creative processes, placing more emphasis on amplifying particular ideas and principles behind the project. Story-Board 1
Ideal Concept
Let’s use the Live House today? Indeed.
They start to use the space and find it quite delightful but they think it could be better setup than it is configured presently.
They contact the Manager of the Live House & he/she opens facility for them.
So they contact the Manager, & he aggree’s to show them how to re-configure the space.
The Manager opens one of the cubes to suit their needs.
The Manager also gets them a storage trolley from the trolley storage cube, so they can store their equipment and goods.
They get the spare panels from thir storage area and start swaping the panels, under the managers approval and assistance.
With the cube recofigured, the group feeling that the cube is partly their own creation Commence to use the space routinely.

Story-Board 2
Ideal Concept
They tell their neighbors and friends about the Live House & soon many people want to use the space.
Now the space is so excellent that performance, social groups, class’s & activities are being run out of the Live House.
But the space is to too small and not quite right for the new users.
Volunteers are assigned tasks necessary to maintain the space & with Manager and Users ensuring that the cubes are collapsed to their weatherproof state in-between use.
So, Under the supervising of the Manager They begin to renovate the Live House by adding more cubes & a variety of different panels.
Friendships & memories are made from opportunities brought by the space’s existence and the happy storey rolls eternally on.
