Cooking - The Gadgets Fall is a great time to get your crock pot out to make some homemade comfort food. With the kids back to school and extracurricular activities in full swing, easy make-ahead crock pot meals can make your family's life much easier. Or you can settle in on a chilly Sunday afternoon and let your crock pot do the cooking while you watch the game on TV. The size of the crock pot depends on the size of your family. For a big family, a 4-6 quart pot is ideal. For just a couple of people, a one quart pot is best to prepare easy slow cooker dessert creme brulee recipes. Choose a cooker with multiple settings and other features like a timer, automatic shut-off, or a warmer. Such features prove to be quite helpful for people who remain outdoors for 8 to 10 hours. There are cookers that feature digital temperature reading or temperature gauge. It ensures that the pot maintains a safe temperature for cooking food. This cuts off the risk of illnesses related to over-cooking or under-cooking food. Not wanting to end up like some of the relatives in my family, I put myself on a diet. Buffets, latenight snacks, and highly caloric desserts became a thing of the past. I took up walking, and then running. The weight started coming off- gradually. Every now and then, though, I'd slip, coming right back to where I'd been before, all my hard work wasted. At best, I'd maintain a 5 pound deficit, never going lower than negative 10 pounds.
