Five families, from a tight-knit community with a mission is to make quality beer that brings great people together. This adventure began on a Saturday arvo like many others, hanging out in the neighbour’s yard, enjoying a couple of coldies. A game of ‘Yardzee’ saw the guys declaring their team ‘Yard Kings’ and it was a few beers later, that it was dreamt up the idea to open a brewery together.

The Boat Shed Bar was the first venue to pour from this brewer, to date we have served the Yard Kings ; West Coast IPA, Pacific Ale, Czech Dark Lager, Red IPA, Mid XPA

TITBITS:

Yard Kings Co-owner Scott Robertson’s uncle was an Australian Skiff Champion, Ron Davies, who sailed on the renowned “Gazeway”, the vessel that is commemorated in the Boat Shed Bar as a repurposed feature table.
