Loretta A. W. Hauer
Loretta Anna Wilhelmina Hauer, 92, of Belle Plaine passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Kingsway Retirement Village in Belle Plaine. Funeral Service was at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation was from 9-10 a.m. at church on Saturday. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. She was born on September 1, 1920 in Blakeley Township to Emil and Marie Mueller. Loretta married Ewald Friedrich Hauer in 1938 in Belle Plaine. They were happily married for 70 years. Loretta worked as a dietician specialist at The Lutheran Home for 20 years. Ewald passed away in January 2008. Loretta is survived by daughter, Charlotte (Gary) Lindquist of St. Paul Park, MN; grandson, Jeff (Lisa) Lindquist of Maple Grove, MN; granddaughter, Cindy (Steve) Klund of Stillwater, MN; greatgrandchildren, Alex, Jeffrey, Megan, Mike and Shane; sisters, Ethel (Ben) Callanan, Marie (Eugene) Sundermann and Rosie Hayden; brothers, Norbert Mueller and Marvin Mueller.
Lois J. Schuldt Lois Jean Schuldt, 63, of Belle Plaine, passed away at her home on Sunday, March, 24, 2013. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. John Zeitler will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Lois was born in New Prague on April 10, 1949 to Walter and Blanche (Vannurden) Schuldt. She grew up in Belle Plaine and attended grades 1-8 at Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Belle Plaine High School the class of 1967. Lois worked at The Lutheran Home, Beck’s Family Store and then as a teller at the State Bank of Belle Plaine for 35 years. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her favorite hobby was remembering family and friends with greeting cards for special occasions. Lois is survived by her sister, Mary (Harold) Berg of Carver; nieces and nephews, Cindy Stoltz, Michael (Amanda) Berg, Daniel Berg, Andrew Berg and Jennifer (Ryan) Johnson; 12 great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Viola and Ruth; brother-in-law, Alfred Odenthal; and great-nephew Matthew Stoltz.
Harvey Fahrenkamp Harvey Fahrenkamp, 89, of Jordan, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home in rural Jordan. Celebration of Eternal Life for Harvey will be on Wednesday, March 27 at 12 p.m. from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jordan with Pastor Jeremy Glowicki officiating.Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the Church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan. Harvey was born in Louisville Township, Scott County, on January 20, 1924. Harvey was the son of Rudolph and
BELLE PLAINE HERALD, BELLE PLAINE, MINNESOTA Emilie (Jabs) Fahrenkamp. He was baptized on February 17, 1924 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carver with Pastor HA Ganul officiating. He was confirmed on May 8, 1938 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Jordan, with Pastor LF Brands officiating. He was raised on the family farm in Louisville Township and he walked to school to Carver. He later attended Dooleyville Country School, in Sand Creek Township. On July 25, 1948, he married Jeanne Quatmann at East Union Lutheran Church, in Carver, with Pastor Kindgren officiating. Together, they farmed, first, in Spring Lake Township, then later in St. Lawrence Township, before purchasing a farm on the Minnesota river bottoms. Then, in 1969 they moved to their final residence in Sand Creek Township. Harvey enjoyed truck farming for many years and enjoyed selling his produce at the Minneapolis Farmers Market. At age 55, he took a job with Kraemer and Sons Bridge Construction and worked until his retirement. Harvey’s past time enjoyment included square dancing with his wife, all over every state in the U.S., other than New York. Harvey enjoyed watching parades also. Harvey is survived by his wife, Jeanne, of Jordan; children, Claudette (Loren) Fritz of Waupaca, WI, Clyde Fahrenkamp of Arlington, Beverly (Edward) Christopher of Dixon, TN, Dale Fahrenkamp, Deloria Henderson of Jordan, Donald (Mary) Fahrenkamp of Elko; brothers and sisters, Lorna Plekkenpol of Shakopee, Waldo (Arlene) Fahrenkamp of Shakopee, Ruth Fahrenkamp of Jordan, Rudolph (Betty), Fahrenkamp of Prior Lake; sister-in-law, Arlis Fahrenkamp of Belle Plaine; and brother-inlaw, Allan (Dorothy) Quatmann of Jordan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley; and brother, Gerald; grandson, Scott Fahrenkamp; and son-in-law, Eugene Schwingler. Pallbearers will be Rachel Fritz, Shawn Schwingler, Malinda Fahrenkamp, Paul Ries, Travis Fahrenkamp and Tim Henderson.
