Congratulations to the Class of 2012 for an outstanding year. Best wishes to each of you with your future endeavors! As we conclude the final days of the 2011-2012 school year with students this week, I want to thank our staff for the work they have done this year in moving our district forward. They have worked hard to take significant steps forward with the implementation of Professional Learning Communities within our district and in the end that work will transfer to better learning opportunities for all of our students. Through the work of the PLCs in our buildings, I have seen much professional development and growth within our own staff. That growth is exciting to see! Finally, I want to thank our retirees this year, Lowell and Jen Hoffman, for their many years of service to the Belle Plaine Schools and community. When individuals have been a major part of an organization for over thirty years, they certainly have an opportunity to leave their mark and the Hoffman’s have certainly done that.
