ABOUT
ALISON GORDON Alison Gordon Studio opened its freelance doors in Autumn 2014. It began with Alison's love for illustration and passion for graphic design. To many a surprise, Gordon is not Alison's surname, rather she combined her father's first name with her own, following his passing in November 2014. Alison's father is the reason she decided to pursue her dream and she loves to carry his name with her always. In Summer 2015, Alison launched her very first collection in New York, which was the beginning of something great. Her collection of stationery products hit stores internationally. Now almost two years later, Alison has over 150 stores carrying her selection of art and stationery items. She is excited to enter the lifestyle and accessories market and knows that she will continue to grow her product line into whatever area it takes her. Alison comes from a fashion design background as she graduated from Parson's School of Design in 2007 with a degree in fashion design. Alison then went on to work for internationally renowned designers such as Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler. In 2009, she moved back to Toronto, Canada to work in the creative department for the top Canadian luxury retailer, Holt Renfrew. In 2014, she left Holt Renfrew to work as a Creative Director for a fashion PR firm. During her time at the firm, Alison received custom illustration requests, which sparked an idea that confirmed her father's advice; her illustrations could turn into something more than just an odd job here and there. Following this realization, Alison Gordon Studio was born. All drawings are original and hand drawn by Alison. Drawings are also digitally coloured to produce printing vibrancy. Alison takes great pride in producing the majority of product in Canada and the U.S.
