Spring & Summer Notices

Residential properties may experience freezing service lines over the next two to three months due to frost penetrating deeper into the ground. Residents who are not eligible for a Bleeder Rebate can take proactive steps to reduce the likelihood of freezing by running a minimal amount of water through their services. While there is a cost to this, the cost is estimated to be lower than having to pay for a private contractor to thaw or excavate to restore their services. Residents can consider a more permanent solution by installing a continuous flow system directly on their water line. Residents that experience water disruption due to freezing of their water lines can access the Thompson Regional Community Center and the Norplex Pool for showering and water. Compost site is open May 2nd for the summer with drop-‐offs available 24hrs per day. The City of Thompson encourages everyone to divert leaves and grass to the Public Works compost site. E-‐waste Depot is open May 10th for the summer, Saturdays only from 8:00am-‐4:00pm. All electronics MUST be disposed at the E-‐waste Depot. Free of charge.
