KOUNTRY AIR RV PARK T

he story of Kountry Air RV Park, located in Prattville, actually began thousands of miles away in the high desert of northern Nevada. On a snowy day in 2011, Don and Gigi Deselms left life out west and headed to Alabama. The result of their “amazing leap of faith” was a brand new adventure for them. Owning and operating an RV park was full of unknowns and Gigi had never even been to Alabama before. But their risk proved successful. For the past six years, the Deselms have used their love for the outdoors to create a unique place for travelers to relax close to nature and experience southern hospitality. Gigi says that revitalizing the place that is now Kountry Air is a blood, sweat and tears story of hard work to renew the beautiful piece of property they call their “little piece of heaven.” Kountry Air has become a premiere family-oriented RV park with first-class amenities and beautiful surroundings that attracts guests from all walks of life. The Deselms’ mutual love for gardening, bird watching and cooking are on full display at Kountry Air. Guests enjoy beautiful landscapes maintained by the couple, and Don’s specialty: Hungarian stew. The same faith that led the Deselms to open Kountry Air is the same faith that keeps the park running today. “We continue to run on faith every day,” says Gigi. “We are blessed by our family, friends and guests that have crossed our path.”
