Join our farmers to help care for the baby goats, cows, and miniature horse Clyde at Chip-in Farm! The Little Farmers will learn what it takes to be a farmer through stories, games, crafts, and real farm work. When our chores are done, we will have fun playing outside on the farm together and in the surrounding fields and forest. The farm offers a full sensory experience for your Little Farmer. This program is for children ages 2.5-5. This is a drop-off class but parents are always welcome to join!

Jennifer brings oodles of energy to keep kids moving in her preschool gymnastics/movement classes. Adult participation is required when noted. Children participate in bare feet.
Toddler Tumblers (with adult participation): This class is the perfect combination of fun and learning. There will be a different theme each week involving different equipment. Participants will roll down the mat, walk across the beam, swing like monkeys, and jump like frogs. Parachutes and stamps complete this magical gymnastics class Children must be walking to participate (max 15)

Golf is a lifelong sport. The smell of the fresh-cut grass, the crisp morning air, the feeling of the perfect tee shot –it’s hard not to love a few hours on the greens. But what makes golf even better is playing with friends and loved ones We can’t promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping Using the U S Kids Golf Early Start program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities Our goal is to introduce the children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive way so they can join you on the greens one day!

A Marble Machine is a creative ball-run contraption, made from familiar materials, designed to send a rolling marble through tubes and funnels, across tracks and bumpers, and into a catch at the end! Hike with Your Tyke: Nature Scavenger Hunt! (Ages 0-5)

Have you ever wanted to explore Bedford’s Local Trails with your tyke but don’t know where to start? This series will take you and your tyke on a guided walk on some of Bedford’s most family-friendly trails. Each walk will also include a scavenger hunt for your little one who enjoys exploring nature. Whether you are looking to explore the trails, get outside, or meet other young families these walks are for you! Each tyke must be accompanied by by an adult caregiver. Register for one or all of the walks.

Children not picked up on time from Recreation Programs may be given a one-class suspension and children who are not picked up on time twice for the same program may be removed from the program
Please have a contingency/back up plan for traffic or other delays and communicate the need to use this plan as soon as you suspect you are running late.
Our instructors/staff have family and/or other work obligations that they must attend to. We appreciate your adherence to the program pick up times.

In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments Each class day consists of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors Circuit Lab staff will make sure participants create a project that they can be proud of each day Most class days include a take-home project

This program will use the Minecraft: Education Edition and will take place in the Davis School Library This program will include introduction to basic mouse and keyboard controls to building, design and decoration, mining and crafting techniques, and farming plants and animals Student will also have an opporunity to play and explore the game they loving using the education edition. We present kids the opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish Class closes with opportunity to taste the result of their hard work Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned! Field events include the softball throw for distance and the running long jump. There is also the 4 x 100 meter relay race. Come with your relay team together, or we will create and put you on one.

Want to become an expert filmmaker? First, master the basics with Bedford TV. Learn key aspects of the filmmaking process, such as composition, lighting, and shots & angles. A Marble Machine is a creative ball-run contraption, made from familiar materials, designed to send a rolling marble through tubes and funnels, across tracks and bumpers, and into a catch at the end! Sure, Marble Runs are a ton of fun to make and to use, but they also make great engineering challenges for kids, they can be a fantastic tool for teaching children how to work collaboratively with their classmates and peers, and they allow children to explore problem-solving in a fun and interactive way. We will supply all Marble Run sets for classes, but there will also be some time for free building during our classes if your child wants to bring in their own materials.

The CIT program is designed for those individuals who are interested in learning about recreation, leadership and working with children The CIT’s will assist with day to day set up, clean up and maintenance They will also assist counselors, working hands on with Summer Adventures activities and participants. CITs will receive direction and supervision from Summer Adventures Directors. Completion of this program does not guarantee future employment for any recreation program

Join our Chip-in farmers and experience life on a real working farm! Children will participate in farm chores such as feeding and caring for the animals and searching for chicken eggs. A Marble Machine is a creative ball-run contraption, made from familiar materials, designed to send a rolling marble through tubes and funnels, across tracks and bumpers, and into a catch at the end! Program locations are subject to change.
Please make note of start and end times for each program. Students must be picked up by the published end time. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment or for other reasons In these cases, we will do our best to inform parents with as much notice as possible
Programs taking place on the grounds of JGMS, BHS or 12 Mudge Way are eligible as a Kids’ Club Combo for Entering Grades K-5. Caregivers must fill out a Kids’ Club Outside Activities form if your child is registering for the combo option. Annual physical and immunization forms are required for some programs. If we require forms it is noted in the program’s brochure description
