Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management

There are a range of assessment types throughout the programme, including assignments, presentations and practical assessments. There are also externally set and marked assessments for Animal Breeding and Genetics and Animal Welfare and Ethics lasting 3 hours and a written examination for Animal Biology lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The extended diploma is equivalent in size to 3 A levels and enables progression to higher education.

Up to 168 UCAS points available – enough to progress onto any degree in the UK

Practical/Theory content

• This is a science based course that is focusing on the management of animals, equivalent to 3 A levels.

• Mostly theory based with some practical element. 25%(Practical)/75%(Theory) split.

• There is a lot of written work involved sometimes more than 1/2 assignment/s on the go at the same time.
