Ronald McDonald House of Delaware-

"The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware’s partnership with the Beau Biden Foundation has expanded our vision on the ways we can protect children. The organizational assessment we submitted as part of the application process for the Shield of Protection designation allowed us to take a deep dive into our existing policies and procedures. We were able to identify ways we could close gaps and move from standard to best practice in several areas. As a result of the Beau Biden Foundation’s feedback and coaching, we now have a comprehensive child protection policy. The Beau Biden Foundation’s staff, especially Claudine, has continued to guide our work. She makes herself available by email, phone and in-person to answer questions and increase our understanding of the many ways our organization can continue to meet our goals to protect children. Each year, Claudine facilitates a training for our staff and volunteers on how to recognize and report child abuse and neglect. Although it is a difficult topic, everyone looks forward to seeing and learning from Claudine due to her obvious expertise and compassionate delivery. She has also trained us on ways to identify grooming behaviors in people attempting to connect with our organization. It is encouraging to have a partner that walks with us while gently prodding us to do more and to be better, that is what the Beau Biden Foundation has done for our House and we are eternally grateful."
