In gleiche Richtung geht auch der Wirkeffekt von Limonoiden, aktiven Substanzen in den Kernen von Citrusfrüchten wie Orange, Grapefruit und Zitrone, die nachweislich einen zytotoxischen Effekt (via Caspase-7 Aktivierung) mit anschließender Apoptose von Brustkarzinomzellen 68 69 aufweisen und zusätzlich die Östrogensynthese hemmen 70 . 46 47
