Budding Chefs

Middle School finalists with Laurie Gear

MasterCook returned with budding chefs in Years 4-8 participating. A tough competition with expert local chefs judging the final heats.

This year saw the return of the muchanticipated MasterCook Competition, hosted by the wonderful Mrs Rowland, Head of Cooking and Nutrition.

Our budding chefs from Years 4 to 8 signed up with great eagerness and were raring to get started. Having prepared and practiced their Commonwealthinspired recipes, in celebration of the Jubilee, they were ready to put their aprons on and get cooking.

A big thank you to Laurie Gear, Patron Chef at the Artichoke and Charlie Baxter, Co-Founder of Pluma, for giving up their time to support the competition and judge the finals. The Beacon MasterCook Competition was a wonder to watch. Our boys created some impressive, tasty cuisine and took great pride in presenting their dishes.

Well done to all the boys who took part and congratulations to our winners from Lower, Middle and Upper School.
