Best-selling author and comic book writer Marc Shapiro, who is also a Monrovia resident of six years, has created a new comic book entitled, “Infamous: Charlie Sheen”. The book, published by Bluewater Comics, was created as fast as possible due to the Charlie Sheen media blitz; “I ended up writing the entire comic book script in six days” said Shapiro.
Though Shapiro has written comics and celebrity biographies before, the nature of this comic was different than his previous work. In an e-mail, Shapiro said, “The Charlie Sheen saga was literally unfolding as I was writing it so this was more like a hard journalism story …” His past works include the New York Times Bestseller “J.K. Rowling: The
Wizard Behind Harry Potter,” the Los Angeles Times Bestseller “Total Titanic,” and National Canadian Bestseller “Justin Bieber: The Fever!” Shapiro has written 31 celebrity and entertainment books for major publishers.
