MONROVIA June 9 At 11:10 a.m., while on patrol an officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Mountain and Huntington. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested per the authority of the warrant and taken into custody. At 11:19 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle commit a vehicle code violation in the 400 block of West Duarte. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was contacted. The driver displayed symptoms of being under the influence. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested. He was transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period. At 11:36 a.m., an employee from a business in the 1300 block of South Shamrock called to report someone was threatening to shoot him and other employees via social media. This investigation is continuing. At 3:50 p.m., a theft was reported in the 800 block of East Huntington. Officers arrived and detained the subject. The subject had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody. June 10 At 1:54 a.m., while on patrol an officer observed a vehicle failing to stop at a red light in the area of Peck & Live Oak. The vehicle was stopped and the driver displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication. A DUI investigation revealed the driver was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period. At 6:49 a.m., an employee from a business in the 600 block of West Huntington called to report that when he arrived to work he saw the front window was shattered. As he entered the business he noticed it was ransacked. This investigation is continuing.

BLOTTERS At 10:59 a.m., a caller reported a male adult was at a park in the 300 block of South Myrtle disturbing the children near the playground area. Officers arrived and contacted the subject. It was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.

At 9:14 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation near Foothill and Mountain. The vehicle was stopped and the driver displayed objective symptoms of drug impairment. After a DUI investigation, it was determined the driver was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period.
At 7:47 a.m., a resident from the 1000 block of Winding Oaks called to report that her house was broken into. Officers arrived and saw the house was ransacked. This investigation is continuing.
June 11 At 12:02 a.m., an officer saw a suspicious vehicle with its lights off in the area of Myrtle and Shrode. The officer observed a subject come out of the darkness and enter the vehicle. The vehicle then drove away and a traffic stop was conducted. The occupants were contacted, two subjects were on probation/parole for vehicle theft and had 13 warrants between them. The subjects were detained and catalytic converters were located in the rear seat along with a vehicle jack, electric saw, and a glass breaking tool. Narcotics were also located on the subjects. All three subjects were arrested and taken into custody. At 1:55 a.m., a caller in the 300 block of West Lime reported subjects were cutting off their neighbor’s catalytic converter. Officers responded but the subjects fled. This investigation is continuing. At 2:59 a.m., while patrolling the area of Magnolia and Oaks an officer saw a vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle was stopped and the under 21 driver displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. After a DUI investigation, it was determined the driver was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was cited and released
At 4:35 a.m., an officer in the area of Myrtle and Central saw a bicyclist commit a moving violation and conducted a traffic stop. The subject had a warrant. The subject was arrested for the warrant and taken into custody.
At 11:36 a.m., an officer was driving in the 100 block of East Lime when he saw a vehicle stopped in the lane. The officer contacted the driver and learned the vehicle was no longer operable. A tow was requested. The tow arrived, but the driver refused to allow his vehicle to be towed out of the roadway and he refused to exit the vehicle. The tow driver was able to move the vehicle to the curb, so it was no longer obstructing traffic. The driver remained inside the vehicle and refused to exit. A report will be filed with the DA's office. At 8:21 p.m., witnesses reported that a female was being chased by a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of West Huntington. The vehicle hit a parked car and then fled the scene. Officers arrived and located the female who said that she was in an argument with her boyfriend and wanted to get away from him, so she ran. She refused to provide further information. She did say, however, that she witnessed her boyfriend hit the parked car. This investigation is continuing. At 9:40 p.m., a noninjury traffic collision was reported in the area of Magnolia and Cypress. Officers contacted both drivers. One was intoxicated and a DUI investigation revealed they were too impaired to drive. The driver was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period. At 11:32 p.m., a hit and run was reported in the 200 block of West Lemon. This investigation is continuing.
ARCADIA June 12 At 3:38 a.m., an officer responded to Simply Donuts, located at 34 W. Las Tunas Dr., regarding a commercial burglary incident. Surveillance footage revealed a lone suspect entered the business by smashing the front window and ransacking the cash register. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5-feet10-inches with a thin build, dark hair, dark beard, and seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt. At 1:41 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Lucile Street and Santa Anita Avenue, regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered his catalytic converter had been stolen from his Lexus LX470 between June 8 and 11. The suspect left behind a black baseball cap. June 13 At 8:18 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia City Hall, located at 240 W. Huntington Dr., regarding a disorderly conduct incident. The officer located the suspect as he was urinating in public. The 22-year-old local male transient was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 1:13 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of South Santa Anita Avenue and El Dorado Street regarding a battery incident. A witness reported a domestic dispute and the male half pulling the female victim from the car against her will. The suspect, a 26-year-old male from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The victim was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for an evaluation. June 14 At 1:52 a.m., an officer responded to the area of Camino Real Avenue and Holly Avenue regarding a possible driver driving un-
der the influence. Upon making contact, the officer noticed signs of alcohol impairment and the 39-yearold male from San Gabriel admitted to drinking earlier in the morning. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 3:08 p.m., an officer responded to the 00 block of Briargate Lane regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed a male and female suspects lied to the victim about being deported if she did not pay for a background check. The suspects then instructed the victim to transfer $4,500.00 via Zelle and by purchasing Bitcoin. The victim complied and became suspicious when they asked for more money in Target gift cards. June 15 At 4:16 p.m., officers responded to the area of 2nd Avenue and Duarte Road regarding a male driver asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. Through a series of tests, the officers determined the driver had a blood alcohol content of 0.09%. They also discovered he was in possession of a concealed and loaded firearm. The 58-yearold male from Pasadena was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 3:56 p.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 1003 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a robbery report. An investigation revealed the suspect pushed an employee while attempting to steal beer from the location. The suspect was located nearby, and the 33-year-old male transient was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 9:41 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 00 block of Alta Street regarding a burglary in progress. Officers located the suspect, a 36-year-old male from Wilmington, who admitted to entering the home without permission. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. June 17 At 2:07 p.m., an officer responded to REI, located at 214 N. Santa Anita Ave., regarding a petty theft report. The officer discovered the suspect stole a knife from REI and fled on foot when officers attempted to contact him. A records check revealed the 23-year-old male transient had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. June 18
At 6:12 p.m., an officer responded to Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a robbery that had just occurred. The victim stated he was confronted in the parking lot by four suspects, one of them holding a knife, who demanded his gold necklaces and wallet. The victim complied and the suspects fled. All four suspects are described as Hispanic males between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. June 16 At 2:00 p.m., an officer responded to Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft report. The victim discovered her catalytic converter had been stolen from her Honda Element sometime between 12:20 p.m. and 2 p.m.
At 5:57 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of South 10th Avenue, regarding an attempted residential burglary report. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a White or Hispanic adult male with a heavy build, riding a bike to the victim’s home, attempting to open the locked garage door with a knife, and when he cannot open the door, he returned to his bicycle and rode away. No loss or damage was reported. At 9:05 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary incident. Sometime between 7:30 p.m. on June 17th and 4 p.m. on June 18, someone smashed one of the vehicle windows and stole two bicycles.
