ARCADIA July 26 At 12:25 p.m., officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of Southview Road regarding the theft of a bicycle. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect stole the bike by cutting the lock and removing it from the victim’s patio. At 5:56 p.m., officers responded to T-Mobile, 1230 S. Golden West Ave., regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the store, stole a black Apple iWatch and fled the scene in an unknown direction. July 27 At 2:12 p.m., officers responded to 7-Eleven, 102 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. A male suspect stole a can of beer and brandished a knife when confronted by a store employee. He fled the scene and was located by officers. The suspect brandished the knife at officers before complying and throwing it to the ground. The can of beer was recovered and the 48-year-old male from Los Angeles was arrested. At 9:20 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Duarte Road regarding the report of a missing person. The missing person, an elderly female, left to get food and didn’t return. She was located by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department and returned safely to her home.

July 29 At 11:40 p.m., officers responded to Residence Inn, 321 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers heard a verbal altercation between a male and female. Officers contacted the couple inside their room and discovered the fight had turned physical when the male threw his girlfriend to the ground leaving her with visible injuries. The 27-year-old male from Bakersfield was arrested. At 5:06 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Vista Circle regarding suspicious circumstances. The resident received unknown seeds in the mail from an unknown person in China. The seeds were reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture who took custody of the seeds.

At 9:07 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of Alice Street regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim last saw his car intact around 6 p.m. the previous night. An unknown sus-

At 11:01 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of South Baldwin Avenue regarding a domestic dispute. An elderly male pushed his elderly wife to the ground during an argument. He then brandished a knife and threatened to kill his daughter. The 73-year-old male from San Gabriel was arrested. At 10:50 p.m., an officer was patrolling the area of Holly Avenue and Campus Drive when he observed a driver operating his vehicle with the headlights turned off. The vehicle had major damage to the front end and the passenger airbag had been deployed. The driver side tire was also missing. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 22-year-old male from La Habra was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested.

At 9:38 a.m., an employee of a business in the 2600 block of California called to report that items were taken from his vehicle while it was parked at the location. The vehicle was left unlocked. At 10:14 a.m., a resident in the 800 block of West Duarte called police to report that someone stole a large amount of cash from his dresser drawer. He shares the apartment with five other people. At 12:16 p.m., an employee from a business in the 1300 block of South Mayflower called police to report a theft. She parked her vehicle in the business parking lot, and when she came out later to start her vehicle, she noticed a loud sound. She discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen off her vehicle. At 2:41 p.m., a resident in the 100 block of West Central called police to report her Schwinn beach cruiser had been stolen from her patio.

Aug. 1 July 30 At 2:17 a.m., officers received a hit notification of a stolen vehicle in the area Santa Anita Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Officers located the vehicle occupied by three suspects. An investigation revealed the suspects were in possession of multiple pieces of stolen mail, burglary tools, and a meth pipe. Two of the suspects had outstanding warrants for their arrests. The 21-yearold female, 23-year-old male, and 30-year-old male, from El Monte, were arrested.

July 28 At 3:20 a.m., officers responded to Savers Thrift Store, 16 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding a burglary. An investigation revealed an unknown male suspect smashed the glass door to the front of the business. He entered the business and pried a locked and empty cash register. The suspect fled the scene. .

At 3:36 a.m., an officer responded to a call of a suspicious occupied vehicle parked in a business parking lot on the 11,000 block of Clark Street. The officer contacted the male driver and female passenger inside the vehicle. An investigation revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Further investigation revealed he was a convicted felon in possession of methamphetamine, two meth pipes, and a stun gun. The 32-year-old male from Huntington Beach was arrested.

July 24 At 1:29 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of West Duarte Road and South Baldwin Avenue regarding a traffic collision that had just occurred. A driver collided with the center median uprooting several trees. Officers contacted the male driver and noticed an opened can of beer on the passenger floorboard. The officer also detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 34-year-old male from Arcadia was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The suspect was arrested. At 2:32 p.m., an officer responded to Taco Treat, 74 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding the report of a battery that had just occurred. The male suspect approached a patron from behind and began yelling at him before forcefully pushing him and almost knocking him to the ground. Another patron intervened and the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

At 3:01 a.m., an officer was patrolling the 300 block of South Mountain when he saw a suspicious U-Haul vehicle commit a traffic violation. He attempted to stop the vehicle for the violation and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued into Irwindale, where the suspect vehicle deliberately drove into a flood control channel. A witness saw the suspect flee from the vehicle before officers could approach. Outside agencies responded to assist in the search, but the suspect was not located. The vehicle was stored for being used in a crime. At 3:36 a.m., an officer was patrolling the 700 block of West Huntington when he discovered a stolen vehicle parked in the parking lot. The vehicle was unoccupied and it was recovered. The registered owner could not be reached. The vehicle was stored and removed from the system as stolen. At 2:24 p.m., an employee from a business in the 400 block of W. Huntington called police to report that three suspects, two female and one

male, entered the store and stole a large amount of vitamins. At 10:33 p.m., an intoxicated person was reported in the 400 block of South Myrtle. Officers arrived and located the subject to check on his welfare. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for his own safety or the safety of others. He was arrested. July 25 At 10:52 a.m., a resident in the 1900 block of South Peck called to report the license plate on the back of his vehicle did not belong to his vehicle. An officer responded and ran the license plate. It returned to a stolen vehicle reported earlier in the week. The officer recovered the stolen plate and took a report for the resident’s missing license plate. At 1:18 p.m., a resident in the 800 block of West Duarte called police to report someone had broken into her locked vehicle and took cash from her center console. There was no sign of forced entry. At 1:53 p.m., police dispatch received a call reporting a male subject sitting in his van in the 100 block of West Foothill, yelling at people as they passed. Officers arrived and spoke with the subject. He said he was going to leave the area and the officers left

the location. Another call was received a short time later reporting the same subject causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and a computer check revealed the subject had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested for the warrants. At 3:41 p.m., an employee from a business in the 700 block of East Huntington called police to report an adult female had entered the store, selected several items of merchandise and concealed them in her purse. She then exited the store without paying for the concealed items and the alarm sounded. She ran quickly to her vehicle and fled the area. July 26 At 6:54 p.m., an officer was patrolling the 1600 block of South Myrtle when he saw a building had been vandalized with green spray paint. A report was taken and graffiti removal was notified. July 27 At 1:17 a.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 900 block of West Colorado. Officers responded and located the vehicle and the driver. The driver showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for DUI. He was taken into custody and held for a sobering period.
