ARCADIA At 9:12 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of California Avenue regarding a mail theft report. The reporting party discovered eight of the community mailboxes had been tampered with and were ajar. It is unknown if any mail was stolen. There is no suspect information at this time. At 6:04 p.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of Magnis Street regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim left her purse in plain view in her unlocked vehicle. When she returned, her purse had been stolen. The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage. July 7 At 6:43 a.m., officers responded to Young Boxing, located at 113 E. Santa Clara St., regarding an aggravated assault report. Surveillance footage revealed the unknown suspect brandished a knife as he approached the entrance of the gym. The victim came out from the gym and confronted the suspect. An altercation ensued and the victim chased the suspect away. The suspect returned with a metal sign and began hitting the door to the gym. The victim returned and scared off the suspect with a firearm. The suspect ultimately fled. During the interactions, the victim sustained a cut to his thigh and foot. Arcadia Fire responded but the victim refused to be transported. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a black hat, black shirt, and black pants. He was seen riding a bicycle. The investigation is ongoing.

At 12:07 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Pamela Road regarding a theft from vehicle report. Between 5:15-5:20 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle that had been parked in the driveway, ransacked the car, and fled with an unknown amount of property. There is no suspect information at this time. July 8 At 7:30 a.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of Walnut Avenue regarding a vandalism report. The victim discovered unknown suspect(s) caused damage to her mailbox by knocking it over. There is no surveillance footage or suspect information at this time. July 9 At 10:34 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Palm Drive regarding a residential burglary report. The officer determined unknown suspects entered the home by forcing open the front door. It appears as if the suspects opened a drawer in a bedroom, but the loss is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing. July 10 At 1:47 p.m., an officer responded to Church of the Good Shepard, located at 400 W. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary report. An investigation revealed unknown suspects forced their way into a locked restroom and ultimately damaged a toilet paper dispenser. The suspect(s) left bloody towels

and blood on the walls of the restroom. The investigation is ongoing. July 11 At 5:31 a.m., an officer responded to Maki and Sushi, located at 302 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary report. The reporting party notified police of a smashed front glass door to the restaurant. The officer checked the business and discovered the cash register area appeared to be ransacked. The investigation is ongoing.

MONROVIA July 3 At 6:36 a.m., police received a call reporting a suspicious person inside a parking structure in a 200 block of West Pomona. Officers arrived and detained the subject. A computer check revealed a no-bail warrant was issued for the subject for a parole violation. The subject was arrested for the warrant and during a search incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was located on his person, which was added to his charges.

The renter left the area and called the police. This investigation is continuing. July 5 At 11:08 a.m., a caller reported a traffic collision at Myrtle and California. A motorist was driving south on California and fell asleep, colliding into a parked car. Officers responded and, after investigation, determined the driver was driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and held for a sobering period. July 7 At 9:22 p.m., a caller reported a subject lying on the sidewalk in the 400 block of West Duarte. Officers responded to check on the subject’s welfare. They located the subject and determined he was too intoxicated to care for his own safety. He was arrested for public intoxication and held for a sobering period. July 8

July 4 At 9:36 a.m., a male subject called police to report the brandishing of a weapon. The subject rents a room from a resident in the 300 block of Prospect. The renter went to the house to collect a refund after being told to leave the location that same morning. When he knocked on the door, the owner of the home answered, knowing the renter was coming to collect money. The owner went to get some-

At 9:42 a.m., a caller in the 600 block of West Duarte reported someone had stolen his daughter’s 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe sometime during the night. Officers arrived and conducted an investigation. The vehicle was entered into the stolen vehicle system. Investigation is continuing.

PASADENA June 15

At 8:46 a.m., a security officer at City Hall observed a subject trying to open doors on the second floor of the building. The security guard confronted the subject, who then became aggressive, punched the security officer in the face and took an item that he was holding. The robbery victim called officers and followed the suspect as she fled. Responding officers located the suspect in the immediate area and took her into custody. The suspect had dropped the item she had stolen from the victim and the security guard recovered it. The suspect was booked into the city jail for strong arm robbery. June 18 At 5:12 p.m., officers responded to a fight call involving a group in the 2500 block of East Foothill Boulevard. When Officers arrived, one of the subjects believed to be involved, made a furtive movement behind a parked vehicle. Officers detained the subject and a search of the immediate area of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm under the car. The firearm had been reported stolen out of state and the detained suspect was arrested. June 20 At 3:53 a.m., officers responded to the 00 block of Holly Street regarding shots fired. A search of the area was conducted and evidence of a shooting was located. Witnesses described a group of five to six men who fired into the air, began yelling, and fled in several vehicles. The vehicles were not located and there have not been any

reports of victims who were struck by the gunfire. June 21 At 3:17 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Chester Avenue regarding a shooting. The two victims were arguing in their apartment when a neighbor entered unannounced and attempted to intervene. The neighbor then fled back to his apartment and retrieved a handgun. The male victim, who was now standing outside his apartment, heard a gunshot from inside the suspect's apartment. The suspect then exited his apartment with the handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim ran and as he attempted to flee, the suspect fired multiple rounds at the victim. There were no injuries as a result of the shooting and officers took the suspect into custody. The firearm was recovered and it was discovered it had been reported stolen from Arizona. June 22 At 11:22 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of a business located in the 600 block of South Arroyo Parkway regarding a female who was seen in possession of a firearm. When officers arrived, they located the described female, leaning into a parked vehicle. There was another vehicle parked adjacent to the vehicle the female was leaning into and all of the vehicles’ occupants were detained. One occupant had a loaded firearm concealed in his waistband and three additional firearms were found in the vehicle the female was seen leaning into.
