Sunday, April 7: Around 11:21 a.m., a victim was walking through the parking lot of Bowling Square, 1020 South Baldwin Avenue, when an unknown male suspect grabbed her by the shoulders and proceeded to kiss her three times and grab her breasts. The victim ran away and contacted police. Officers conducted an area check for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. The suspect is described as an Asian male in his seventies, approximately 5’4” tall, 140 lbs., wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored jacket and pants, grey and white shoes, and a blue “Harrah’s Rincon” hat. At about 1:43 p.m., an officer responded to CVS, 188 Las Tunas Drive, to conduct follow-up on a previous case. Upon arrival, a sales associate informed the officer that a juvenile was shoplifting inside the store. The officer made contact with the suspect who had concealed a pack of beer behind his skateboard. Video surveillance revealed the suspect had also stolen beer from the store earlier in the day. The 16-year-old Hispanic male was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. Monday, April 8:

At approximately 10:25 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of Canyon Road in regards to a bear in the area. The bear walked through several yards and rummaged through residents’ trash cans. In attempt to only scare the bear away and back into the wilderness, the officer shot the bear with a bean bag after it did not respond to the sound of an air horn. The maneuver sent the bear running back into the mountains and no one was harmed. Shortly after 6:00 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of 99 Ranch Market, 1300 South Golden West Avenue, in reference to a robbery report. As the victim walked back to her vehicle, an unknown female suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her wallet out of her hand. The victim attempted to chase the suspect; however, she fell to the ground and the suspect fled in an awaiting vehicle. The suspect is described as Hispanic, approximately 30-years-old, 5’4” tall, 160 lbs., wearing dark colored clothing. The driver of the unidentified suspect vehicle is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-years-old, with no facial hair. Tuesday, April 9:

Around 6:08 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for making an illegal left turn out of the Santa Anita Inn parking lot, 130 West Huntington Drive. An investigation revealed the 35-year-old White male driver had three outstanding warrants and a suspended license; and the 23-year-old Hispanic female passenger was under the influence of a controlled substance. The suspects were also in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards and a counterfeit driver’s license. They were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At roughly 6:14 p.m., officers responded to Camino Grove Elementary, 700 Camino Grove Avenue, in regards to three juveniles trespassing on the roof of the location. An investigation revealed one of the juveniles was in possession of an aerosol paint can and had spraypainted graffiti throughout the campus. The 13-year-old Hispanic male was arrested, transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking, and later released to his parent. Wednesday, April 10: At about 2:36 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unreadable license plate in the area of Santa Anita Avenue and Live Oak Avenue. old Hispanic male driver was in possession of a small bat that had been altered into a billy club type weapon. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. Shortly before 8:20 p.m., an officer was dispatched to an injury rear-end traffic collision on northbound Sunset Boulevard, at Portola Drive. The 29-year-old Hispanic male suspect explained the vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly and he was unable to stop in time. The driver he hit was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for head and neck pain. An investigation revealed the suspect was under the influence with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08%. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Critical Missing Person - Subject Located March 29 at 12:31 p.m., a ten-year-old female was reported missing from the Immaculate Conception Church when staff noticed the girl was not with the other children participating in an Easter Ceremony. After an extensive search by police, the girl was located at home with her family in Duarte. She had left the assembly area and told her parents she was not needed. The parents did not confirm this and did not tell anyone they were leaving the event with the child. The mother then took the child to a dentist appointment and did not return home until after the appointment; they were then located by police. Sex Offense March 29 at 3:09 p.m., a female subject called police to report a sex offense she had observed. She reported she was walking on Mountain when she went to say hello to a male subject she knew. The male subject was in his car. When she approached the vehicle, she saw he was masturbating. She walked away from the car and called the police. The female subject was uncooperative with dispatch when asked about her knowledge of the subject. Officers conducted a search of the area, but the subject was not located. The suspect is described as a thin, male African American and the vehicle as a black sedan. Injury Traffic Collision March 19 at 4:32 p.m., several vehicles collided at Foot-

hill and Myrtle after a vehicle sped up to get through the red light. The vehicle struck another vehicle that failed to clear the intersection prior to turning left. Minor injuries were reported. Domestic Battery Suspect Arrested March 29 at 10:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East Almond regarding a male and female subject fighting. Upon arrival, officers learned the male subject had forced the female onto the front seat of a vehicle and had taken her cell phone. The male subject was determined to be the aggressor and was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. Weapons Offence / Warrants - Suspect Arrested March 29 at 11:50 p.m., an officer contacted a male and female occupant of a vehicle parked in a remote area behind a restaurant in the 800 block of West Huntington. The officer observed a wooden billy club in plain view on the backseat. The male occupant said he manufactured the weapon from an old piece of furniture. He commented that he grew up in a tough neighborhood and possessed it for his protection. The male subject was also found to have three outstanding warrants. He was arrested and taken into custody for the weapons offence and warrants. Family Disturbance / Resisting and Delaying a Peace Officer Suspect Arrested March 29 at 12:10 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West Hillcrest regarding a family disturbance. The officers determined the male subject had been drinking alcohol and had argued with family members. He became angry and injured himself by punching out a glass window, causing lacerations to his hands. Paramedics were requested and when they arrived, the subject yelled at them and threatened one of them by saying he could kill them. He stood up and charged toward them. Officers attempted to stop the subject and he fought with the officers. The subject was arrested for delaying an investigation and resisting arrest. Driving Under the Influence - Suspect Arrested March 29 at 1:45 a.m., officers observed a vehicle

straddling lanes on the onramp to the westbound 210 Freeway from Myrtle. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was contacted. She thought she was on the 710 Freeway. Through investigation, the driver was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested.

Sierra Madre PD

Wednesday April 10 At 2:30pm, officers responded to a business in the 300 block of West Sierra Madre Boulevard to investigate a report of a Battery. An employee allegedly grabbed the arm of a co-worker and pulled her toward another area of the business. The victim broke free from the grasp and reported the incident to her supervisors. The victim initiated a private person’s arrest for the incident and the other employee was booked on the charge of battery. Thursday April 11 Between 7-9pm, and unknown vehicle collided with a parked vehicle in the 1900 block of Oakwood Avenue. The unknown vehicle left the scene without making an attempt to contact the owner of the parked vehicle. The parked vehicle sustained moderate damage to the left rear side panel. Friday April 12 A resident in the 700 block Fairview Avenue reported that someone had entered two of their vehicles that were parked in the driveway overnight. An unknown suspect entered the unlocked vehicles, rummaged through the interiors and removed property. A similar crime occurred a week prior in the 200 block of Grove Avenue. Saturday April 13 At 4:30am, three individuals became involved in an argument inside an apartment in the 00 block of Esperanza. At one point, two of the individuals locked the third party out of the residence as he had become belligerent. That individual broke the living room window with a chair and tried to climb in. He failed at this and subsequently kicked the front door open. Once inside he punched one of the occupants several times in the face. When police arrived, the aggressor was arrested for Battery and Vandalism. The victim of the Battery sustained minor injuries.
