Ordinance No. 12-957, which was approved by City Council on July 3, 2012, expanded the use of administrative penalties to all violations of the City’s laws and refined the administrative procedures by providing those cited with more clarity of the administrative review process and the potential collection methods that can be used by the City

should a community member fail to pay the administrative fine. Section 1406 of the above Ordinance stipulates that the amount of the fines imposed shall be established by resolution of the City Council. The City Council may, by resolution, also impose escalating fines in amounts it deems appropriate for repeat offenses of the same Ordinance. Any persons interested are invited to attend and present testimony either for or against this item.
