FunOnTheRiver RaisingFunds forHospice ADayofFun RaisesFunds fortheFoodBank

For the third year of adding 'Paddle' To the annual 'Hike for Hospice' fundraising events, the group of eager paddlers who met on the river's edge, had grown to 29. Although there was a light drizzle, nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of the participants, nor the many who came to th cheer them on. Launching on June 9 from the Stonebridge Beach Club, the happy, fun loving group paddled to the Main Street bridge and back, under the watchful eyes on board a “escort boat” and friends and family gathered on the shore and on the bridge.

With the total raised this year, the group has donated approximately $12,000.00 over the three years, all donated to Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood.

If you are interested in participating next June as a team or individual, please call Patrice at 705-443-0170 for more information.

Congratulations to the organizers and to all who paddled.

"We are very happy with the results," said Golf Tournament Chair Yvette Gauthier. “The business community were great supporters, Marlwood was a fantastic venue and the golfers had great fun for a good cause."
