Expected outlook for the division

Expected outlook for the division in 2022
Capacity utilisation was high during the year, which resulted in capacity shortages at times, meaning longer delivery times. The confirmed investments in both buildings and machinery at Be-Ge Plåtindustri AB will address the capacity shortages and also create opportunities for new business.

The division continues to invest in automation solutions to further streamline production processes. This is a prerequisite for being able to meet the continued high demand from both existing and new customers.
The price increases implemented by the division’s raw material suppliers in the previous financial year appear to have peaked. But prices continue to increase in areas such as energy and freight, price increases for which it is important that companies can receive compensation from their customers. As part of both reducing energy costs and contributing to a sustainable future, a solar cell system will be installed at Be-Ge Stece AB.
There are many uncertainties in 2022. Expectations of inflation, supply chain disruption due to the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine and interest rate hikes could have a negative impact on global demand and growth. At present, there are no indications that this would affect the Component Division’s companies, which continue to have a good order backlog and capacity utilisation.
