Church): Riverside Church's design was inspired by 13th century Gothic cathedrals in France and is the tallest church in the United States. Bodies Like Water: There is a bit of feminist and queer history tied to Bethesda Fountain Angel. It was designed by sculptor Emma Stebbins, who was the first woman commissioned to create a public art piece in New York City. Stebbins’ had her partner, actress Charlotte Cushman, model for the piece. The sculpture, titled Angel of the Waters, has been watching over the residents and visitors of New York since 1873.
