The Hearne Eagles have a backfield that may again point them toward the front of District 11-2A Division II. Kyle Castilleja claimed the quarterback spot as his own in a successful junior season, when the Eagles qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and had their first winning season since 2006. Castilleja completed 57 of 102 passes for 904 yards and 10 touchdowns
with nine interceptions. He also rushed for 120 yards and two scores. “With his second year in the system, he is really starting to grasp this offense and the way we run things,” Hearne coach Clinton Smith said. “That will be a big help.” MarcJavion McGrew is the leading rusher back.
