INFORMATION Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’ CAMP BALTIMORE! offers a variety of affordable and enriching summer camp options. Campers can look forward to a summer experience including academic enrichment, field trips, nature outings, sports and swimming. Our camps and clinics provide the best opportunity to explore, learn, play and grow! REGISTRATION

REFUND POLICY

A camp registration packet must be completed by a parent or guardian.

Please bring your receipt to the camp location and our staff will assist you. Refunds take 4-6 weeks to process. NOTE: The $25 deposit for Outdoor Nature Camp is nonrefundable.

Registration begins Wednesday, March 1 and is on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to register early to ensure your kids don’t miss out on the fun. You may register online or by visiting the camp location. We accept credit cards or money orders only. NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS. Money orders should be made payable to “Director of Finance.”

Customers must withdraw prior to the start of a program for a full refund. Refunds requested after the start of a program will be prorated. Programs that are canceled by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP) will be fully refunded. Participants removed from any BCRP facility, event or program due to disciplinary action will not receive a refund.

WEATHER POLICY

Always check with your Camp Director for status updates, exceptions to this policy and make-up dates for canceled activities and trips. You may also call our weather line at 410396-7022. • As a precaution, when temperatures exceed 95 degrees by noon, all recreation programs based outdoor activities will be canceled. Pool trips scheduled after 12 p.m. will be canceled. • Rain may delay or cancel some outdoor activities. • Lightning will cancel outdoor activities. Where possible these will be moved indoors or rescheduled.

PARTICIPATION

You must be registered to participate in any CAMP BALTIMORE! program. A completed camp registration packet, including medical history and other required paperwork must be completed before a child attends camp. Age requirements must be met by the start of summer camp. Children must be signed in and out daily by the parent/ guardian. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please be prompt for drop off and pick up times. Staff is not responsible for children before and/ or after regular camp hours unless they are enrolled in Before/ After Care.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

Baltimore City Recreation and Parks welcomes participants of all ability levels to participate in its programs. We make every effort to work with families to mainstream children with special needs into our programs. Dependent upon the accommodation needed we may refer your child to our inclusion camps, Camp Variety and Camp Variety Teens. In order to create a successful and enjoyable environment for your child, please make your request for special accommodations during registration.

Children must remain in camp for the full scheduled day unless written consent is provided or they are picked up by a parent/ guardian.

HOW TO REGISTER Registration for Camp Baltimore opens Wednesday, March 1 and is on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to register early to ensure enrollment. Walk-in: You may register in person at your selected camp location during their normal operating hours. We accept credit card or money orders only. NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS. Money orders should be made payable to “Director of Finance.” Online: Visit http://baltimorecityrecandparks.org to register. An account is required for online registration. New users click on Create Account then follow the prompts to create a user account. Be sure to add each member of your family to your profile! Returning users just log in with your username and password! If you are having trouble creating a profile or registering please call 410-396-7004 during business hours, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., for assistance. **A CAMP REGISTRATION PACKET MUST BE COMPLETED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN PRIOR TO THE START OF CAMP.

ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT CAMPS Academic Enrichment Summer Camp provides activities to promote your child’s physical, social and intellectual growth. Activities include enviro-nature, life skills, healthy choices and experiments to provide hands-on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Fun educational games and competitions keep kids learning and having fun in the process. D.E.A.R. (drop everything & read) keeps kids reading all summer. Fitness, sports, swimming, crafts, special events and trips create a wellbalanced camp program and a summer of fun and lasting memories. NATURE CAMP OUTDOOR NATURE CAMP Carrie Murray Nature Center, 1901 Ridgetop Road 21207 Located in the largest urban wilderness east of the Mississippi our nature camp provides a FUN, unique and environmentally conscious experience: • Hands-on activities • Hikes • Special events and themed weeks • Stream, insect and plant studies Closed July 4.
