For the first time
in Teddy’s life, he is able
to be in school consistently. Teddy has asthma, but because his mom did not have the flexibility at work, nor reliable transportation, he wasn’t able to visit a doctor to have it treated. He was feeling miserable and missing valuable time at school – limiting what he was able to learn. Last year, he saw a medical provider at a School-Based Health Center who helped get his chronic symptoms under control. Now, Teddy is spending more time in his second grade classroom – and performing better – than he and mom ever thought possible.
