Dear members of our community: Bonfils’ Colorado Marrow Donor Program (CMDP) needs your help. This year, CMDP began a Pay It Forward fundraising initiative that will ensure financial resources are available to cover the costs of registering new marrow donors who are eager to help a patient in need of a life-saving marrow transplant. For the past 20 years, the CMDP has facilitated hundreds of stem cell and marrow transplants – often the only chance for survival - to give patients with blood-related diseases a second chance. The operating costs for CMDP are substantial and are not reimbursed by insurance. Funding that had been provided in the past is no longer available and CMDP must raise more than $80,000 this year to assure that its work continues. We appeal to your sense of compassion and willingness to help others. Lives depend on us. Each donor who is added to the registry increases the probability that a match for a patient can be found. Your tax-deductable charitable gift of $100 will add one donor to the registry. Your gift of $500 will enable CMDP to add five new donors to the registry.
