Roadhouse. If steak was an ice-cream sundae, the sides would be the cherry on top. When deciding what to pair your main meals with you, should be aware of the options available on the menu: Options at Texas Roadhouse range from coleslaw, to steak fries, a cup of chili or tortilla soup, house or Caesar salad, baked or mashed potato with gravy (either white or brown), buttered corn, or fresh vegetables. The thought of vegetables could potentially make some of you groan. However, Texas Roadhouse prides itself on using fresh produce, so that means nothing is thawed or frozen in your salads or seasoned vegetables. Produce is seasonally imported from different areas in the world to ensure quality and consistency. Steamed vegetables are deliciously seasoned with a lemon pepper seasoning and butter that is made in-house, so you know your veggies will not be bland at all! Quality matters and is a major reason behind the success of Texas Roadhouse. All potatoes in store (regardless of where it’s at in the world) are Idaho potatoes, shipped from Idaho, USA. These potatoes make for a perfect choice since they are fluffy and soft in texture. They are considered special mainly due to the nutrients in the soil they are grown in. Millions of
years ago, the area was an active volcano and since then has given Idaho potatoes their acquired taste. Taste is emphasized to stay universal, so whether you were to have the mashed potatoes in the states, in the Philippines, in Kuwait, or in any of their other locations, it would taste just as good. They’re also easily our favorite steak companion, because, what’s an awesome steak experience without the yummiest baked potato loaded up with butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon? We also love having them mashed and smothered in butter, or cheese to complete each bite of meaty goodness. Although some may argue that predictability in business is a losing battle, Texas Roadhouse prides itself on their special cooking skills and approaches that give a very distinctive experience to the guest. A journey of senses that you cannot get anywhere else! Whether snacking on peanuts from the buckets on the tables, or listening to the music playing, feeling the energy around explains why they stay on top of the steakhouse game. A process very unique to Texas Roadhouse is the way they make their bread. “It takes a few hours to make, which is why the staff will usually come in earlier to get them prepared for the day” the Head Chef shared with us.
