Along with beautiful vistas dotted with grazing llamas, the high plateaus of the Altiplano in Bolivia are home to some of the best quinoa in the world. The agro-ecological conditions of the area, standing over 12,000 feet above sea level, mean that grains obtained in this area are larger and more colorful than other quinoa growing regions.
