ocated on a busy street corner in San Jose, Falafel’s Drive-In is a perfect spot for a quick meal on the go or an afternoon snack. The long line moved quickly and the food was served promptly, and most importantly the falafel was delicious. I ordered a small falafel sandwich for $4 (a large size costs $5.50) from the expansive and affordable menu, which includes Middle-Eastern food such as gyros, falafel and kebabs as well as classic favorites including hamburgers, onion rings and hot dogs. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the pita was filled to the brim and topped with hot sauce (fairly mild) and tamari sauce. Falafel’s Drive-In features both indoor and outdoor seating, though the indoor seating is very limited. It is easily a classic.
