DIG IN WITHOUT DIGGING DEEP! That’s what the 3RD ANNUAL TRAVERSE CITY RESTAURANT WEEK promises! Make your
reservations early to dine deliciously at the best foodie havens around. From February 24 to March 2, participating restaurants will offer three course meals for $25 per person. This is your chance to experience the culinary wonders of the TC region at an affordable price. “This is a great way to go to that restaurant that you have been dying to try or to go to your favorite,” says Colleen Paveglio, DDA/DTCA marketing director. Don’t forget to book the babysitters and invite friends. No counting calories either—at least for this week! www.downtowntc.com
Dine in Style Finally, all is revealed. COPPER FALLS is the name of the long-awaited new restaurant at the corner of South Airport and Garfield Avenue. And owner Todd Gokey promises that you will have a dining “experience” from beginning to end. Once through the doors you are transported to a place of luxury and elegance; it is a place like no other, for sure. No expense has been spared to capture your attention, from the vintage-feel copper ceilings to the custom wine room that will house 3,000 of the finest bottles. “It will not just be a place to go have a meal,” says Todd. “This will be a no-rush dining experience. We want people to stay and enjoy.” Todd is no stranger to big projects, and comes with an impressive resume in the hotel industry. The main man in charge of the food? It’s Chef Josh Benedict, who brings 12 years of experience from Apache Trout Grill and values fresh and local ingredients. He’s excited to premiere the menu that promises fresh seafood flown in daily, real local Northern Michigan beef and specialty dishes from around the world. It sounds like Copper Falls will be the place for a culinary-enriched experience. We can’t wait!
FARM FIX Just because it’s winter this doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the best local and farm-fresh produce. Venture INDOORS at the Village Indoor Farmers Market! Forty-five area vendors line the ENTIRE Mercato corridor, from Trattoria Stella all the way to the Village General Store. You'll find all you need and more. Stay a while and meander the Mercato shops, too, or perhaps dine and drink. Oh, what the heck? Why not make a whole day of it. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Mercato-Village at GT Commons. www.thevillagetc.com • 231-941-1900
